November/December 2008

Believe it or not, our 10 year Reunion is just around the corner! Plan to come back to the Hill June 4-7th, 2009 to catch up with old friends, visit your old haunts, and create some new Cornell memories! Bring a guest or come by yourself - you'll have a great time either way!

For the latest information, check this site or contact one of your reunion co-chairs, Sabrina Smith and Rebecca Harris Mulvaney. We will be updating this site as we set up Class of '99 events, and once registration opens you will be able to check and see who has signed up.

Also, don't forget to take the pre-reunion survey. It only takes a minute, and your responses will help to make our reunion unique and memorable.

Latest Update on 2009 Reunion Highlights:
    * Class of 1999 cook-out catered by Dinosaur BBQ on Beebe Lake Saturday, June 6th!
    * Golf, tennis, rock climbing, Reunion run
    * Fraternity and Sorority events
    * State of the University Address by President Skorton
    * Tent Parties on the Arts Quad
Where will the Class of '99 be staying?

Our Class Headquarters and on-campus housing will be on North Campus in Risley Hall. In addition, a limited number of hotel rooms are being held for our class, on a first come, first served basis at Econo Lodge 607-257-1400 and Meadow Court 800-852-4014. Please call directly to make reservations, or you can contact the Ithaca Convention & Visitor's Bureau at www.visitithaca.com or call 800-284-8422 for other hotels and B&Bs.

When should I arrive?

Reunion activities start Thursday evening and run through Sunday breakfast. Come for the entire weekend or just part of the weekend. Different packages will be available. For information about transportation to Ithaca, go to the university Reunion web site at www.alumni.cornell.edu/reunion.

A note about communication:

PS: Remember this is year four of Far Above . . . The Campaign for Cornell. Your class officers encourage you to make a special campaign gift, above and beyond the level of your normal Cornell Annual Fund gift, during the seven year campaign. Our Reunion is the perfect time to make this special gift honoring your Cornell experience. Help us to reach our Reunion Campaign goals by going “far above” in your annual giving this year.

Have you made your gift yet? For questions about the Far Above campaign, contact Jim Mazza ‘88, Campaign Director (607-254-7497 jma16@cornell.edu)
